I live in the Los Angeles area and haven’t read or subscribed to it since Steve Lopez was a regular contributor the same for reading Matt Taibbi in the Washington Post. I feel I am following joutnalists like athelets, he is my guy I will watch his team. Thise no brand loyalty but loyalty to the personal and the words and that may be the secret sauce most newspaper editors are lacking not developing enough young talent to keep the reader engaged. I can just do a google search and read the latest content.
