I totally get what you’re saying about the “factory farming” style. This is why we’re big fans of the progressive style education, which seems much more personalized with individual attention. The fact they can give out a personalized narrative rather than a report card with A’s B’s and C’s would suggest that the teacher is paying specific attention to the needs of every child. We also like the attention paid to creating a warm, nurturing and “home-y” environment, which I think is good for young children. Now, we just have to hope and pray that we get into one of those schools. It’s very stressful but we’re staying positive!
