This morning, the Today Show featured a segment titled “the New Normal: Stay-at-Home Dads Embracing the New Norm” highlighting our community of fathers in New York City. As you’ll see from the brief segment, there is nothing emasculating about spending quality time with your child! In fact, we think the clip does a nice job of showing the “cool factor” of fatherhood! Yes, it’s cool to hang out with other active, engaged, and confident dads for socialization, support, and education while our children play and interact with each other. Similar to the NYC Dads Group, communities of fathers (whether it’s strictly an at-home dad group, working dads group, group for older dads, or beyond) are sprouting up across the nation, creating a place for dads to hang out, share best practices, vent frustrations, talk fantasy football, or discuss juggling their career and family. We believe fathers hanging out in a pack will soon become THE NEW NORMAL…and we’re proud to keep moving the conversation forward to get there!
